Salt Winter Garden
An earth oasis above the city.
Project Description
Located on the fourth floor of SALT Beyoğlu, in the heart of Istanbul’s İstiklal Street, the Winter Garden was designed by Aslıhan Demirtaş as a calm interior landscape within the city.
Conceived as a place for pause and grounding, the space introduces soil and vegetation into the gallery environment. Mono Earth produced the rammed earth floor and seating elements, shaping a continuous earth surface that supports both movement and rest.
The layered earth textures bring a natural atmosphere into the building, transforming the gallery floor into a quiet oasis above the dense urban flow of the city.
