Mercado Podcast is a platform that brings together creative practitioners to reflect on their processes and the ideas behind their work. Hosted by Yağız Genç, each episode unfolds through carefully crafted questions that open space for deeper, more thoughtful conversations.

In this episode, we were invited to share the story of Mono Earth—how our journey with earth began, how it evolved, and how it continues to shape the way we think, design, and produce.

The conversation moved between different scales and moments. From our early encounters with earth as a material, to our experiences at Dutch Design Week, and to the workshops we developed around Hikaru Dorodango, where making becomes a way of understanding.

Rather than presenting outcomes, the dialogue focused on the thinking behind them—how a material carries memory, how processes unfold over time, and how production becomes a way of building relationships between people, place, and matter.
